New Liners

Here in Australia we have been steadily working on expanding the range of Type IV liners for our CNG and Hydrogen COPV’s. Having the capability to make the tooling in house allows us to prototype quickly and get the final product to market in the most economical way possible. This next stage is super exciting, […]

Machining new tooling for COPVs

Tooling has started here in Australia for the manufacturing of our ~1000L Type IV H2 pressure vessels. They will hold ~24 kg of compressed hydrogen at 350 Bar. The 450kg (990 lb) aluminium block (810mm diameter) is machined on our Okuma 5-axis CNC machine to make the dome end. That’s a lot of chips!

First JV COPVs produced

It’s amazing what you can achieve in a couple of weeks! Our Australian and US teams have been working together to produce these liners and carbon-fibre wound pressure vessels for hydrogen storage (16 x 84 inch and 16 x 42 inch). We first began the rapid development of hydrogen pressure vessels in September 2022 by designing our moulds.
